Distorted Culture
The Tiki and the Union Jack are icons of Maori and British history. Distorted Culture is an exploration of cultural values. Each piece is a statement that is meant to challenge the way that we see New Zealand culture, how it is presented and how it is changing. These works discuss the influence that modern culture has had on the traditions and historic value of New Zealand.
