My father always kept a few of the old engines when they were removed from the cow- sheds he was working on, when the farms moved to electric power. He used one for years before he put an electric motor on the saw-bench. When I was very young he was very proud to allow me to start this engine which was in the engine-room at the rear of the main shed where he had his other machinery which was driven off the shaft through the wall. The engine started very easily with a turn of the fly-wheel.
