Bradley Stevens is an artist based in Pukekohe, Auckland who is currently undertaking a Fine Arts degree at Whitecliffe School of Art and Design.
Stemming from a long held childhood passion for classical studies, his artistic influences and inspiration come from historical art forms, world history, philosophy and religion.
Stevens' preferred medium is ink on paper and he continues to experiment with new mediums such as watercolour and different types of canvas/supports. His work takes inspiration from a wide array of art styles ranging from Ancient Egyptian to Greco Roman to Thai Folk Art right through to Contemporary Music Album Art.
Stevens' intent as a developing artist is to gather all things historical, esoteric, whimsical, even nonsensical and to filter these through his own processes to create original works that embody his loves and passions.
Stevens sees himself and other artists, as descendants of past artisans; using life and experiences, thoughts and dreams as a collective muse.
