Jasmine Birch is a practising artist and Head of Visual Art at Morrinsville College. In this exhibition she explores her cultural identity through painting with a focus on portraiture inspired by traditional Toi Māori motif. Ko wai au? Birch’s show is an expression and exploration of a lifetime of learning. 

This series of paintings showcases her journey of self-discovery as she defines herself as a Māori woman and artist.
